The UK gaming group, Rank, has launched a £250m ($392m) bid for Gala Coral’s casino division. The combination of the two estates would create the UK's largest casino operation by number of venues, with Rank presently operating 36 casinos, while Gala has 25. William Hill has announced that it has awarded an exclusive contract to Inspired Gaming Group (‘Inspired’) for the sole supply of gaming machines to the Group’s licensed betting offices (LBOs). Inspired currently supplies 79% of the gaming machines in William Hill’s 2,350 LBOs through new generation ‘Storm’ cabinets which provide a high-quality gaming experience using high-definition, 22-inch dual-screen technology. It was launched in the William Hill estate between August 2009 and March 2010, and has consistently delivered strong growth.

Aristocrat has named renowned casino systems expert Jeffrey J. Connors as its new Senior Director of National Accounts and Business Development. Mr. Connors brings more than 20 years of casino management system experience to the company and its more than 275 customers in North America.

JCM Globa has entered into an agreement with award-winning, international hardware and software company MicroFirst to distribute and service JCM’s award-winning line of products in Pennsylvania. Under the agreement, MicroFirst will be the direct communication between casinos across Pennsylvania and JCM. MicroFirst will oversee new product sales, project management, certified training for JCM products, field troubleshooting and customer support, warranty service items, out-of-warranty repairs, and system upgrade installations.
