Accor to sell Lucien Barriere |

Accor will sell its 49 per cent stake in Lucien Barrière, the casinos group, for €500m-€700m. It is also accelerating its strategy of selling off its bricks and mortar in favour of more management contracts and franchises. The aim is to raise €450m this year, of which 25 per cent has been achieved.

Sun International has closed its Montecello casino in Chile after it was damaged by Saturday's earthquake in the country. The Santiago-based casino, which is jointly owned with Novomatic Group of Companies, was insured for both the damage to property and the cost of business interruption.
